Spring and summer: from regattas to concerts under the stars

With the arrival of spring, Malcesine comes alive with colours and sounds. Sports enthusiasts will be happy to know that regattas and windsurfing competitions are organized every year from March to October, taking advantage of the constant winds found in this part of Lake Garda. From May to August, the Malcesine Music Festival organizes open-air musical performances in different parts of the historic village. Finally, on July 26 it’s time to celebrate the festival of Sant'Anna, with a magnificent Fireworks Show on the lake, combined with a light show that illuminates the Scaligero Castle: a magical experience not to be missed!

Autumn: flavors and traditions

Even in autumn you’ll find numerous festivals: in September, the Ciottolando con Gusto event highlights local flavours with a food and wine trail along which you can taste local specialties. In October, it’s time for the Fiera della Fine dell’Alpeggio, with activities for adults and children and food stands dedicated to mountain specialties, such as polenta carbonera with Baldo mountain cheese. Autumn is an excellent time to find out more about traditions and get to know the specialties of our area.

And what about Christmas?

Finally, during the Christmas period Malcesine does not lose its charm: the village turns into a fairytale, with markets, lights and nativity scenes, while shows and entertainment are organized at the Castello Scaligero, especially for children.
